Yesterday I had a scare on the way home from shopping. I almost passed out behind the wheel I had taken a few sugar tablets before leaving the store and felt fine....but then....my sugar dropped again just a mile from home.Should I have pulled over and called paramedics or eaten more sugar tablets? (they didn't seem to help). I never lost total consciousness.....but close. When I got home I took my blood sugar which said I was in the low 80's which should not be hypo. I had a hard time eating as my tummy was upset and I was shaky and sweating (all the classic signs). What do paramedics do if you are in hypo? Do they hall you off to the hospital? Should I have called for help?I would have felt foolish if the paramedics took my sugar and it was only in the 80's.....uuggghhhhh
my meter goes everywhere I go, and I will test in the car, in restrooms at grocery store etc, even in the movie theaters if I feel something is out of wack. Do you carry your meter?
