May be a stupid question. I do limit my carbs and don't eat pasta, potatoes or rice. I do however eat porridge with blueberries, almonds, cinnamon and flax seeds with almond milk and and a couple of slices of my homemade bread each day. Bread is made from stoneground flour and seeds, no added sugar. I am continuing to lose weight steadily, about a pound a week, with a total loss of 2stone this year by eating this way. I have no idea what my currant Hba1c is but if I am losing weight is it likely the carbs are not having a negative effect on me? Just wondered. I think I would struggle to cut carbs completely. I keep reading that oats are good for blood sugar control.
