I hope everyone is doing good and getting in time to exercise. I know most of us are working hard at trying to kick this beast into submission. Keep up the good work. Its so good to read how everyone is doing and how they are doing it. It seems we all have our favorite things to do.
I have had a busy day today. I went shopping at an outlet mall near me and did a lot of walking there today, we were there for over 2 hours and I only sat down 1 time to rest. Its been rainy and cold here today. When at home today I rode my exercise bike for 20 minutes times 3. I had a pretty good day today.
It seems if I don't eat much at a time I do ok. Im still just eating soft foods that digest easy. I haven't been eating any meat. That lead brick feeling is easing some but I still get the burping and belching a lot with the acid backup in my throat. I can hear my belly sloshing around. My blood sugars are up and down a lot, I don't know how to adjust my insulin so I have been just taking 15 units with what I eat then doing a correction dose about 2 to 3 hours later. my 3 hour reading has been higher than the 1 and 2 hour reading. The people on the gastroparesis board told me how they have to split their insulin dosages up so Im trying the same thing to keep from going low. Treating lows is hard to do when you don't absorb anything very fast, I have to wait for my stomach to digest what I eat and drink and that can take hours.
